	Rehabilitation Information
	Facilitating detention and rehabiliation are two core aspects of correctional administration in the Brunei Prisons Department. The department's vision is "To be an excellent rehabilitation institution." while its mission is"To protect society with safe humane custody and ideal rehabilitation of inmates to create useful and responsible members of society." All penal institutions under the Brunei Prisons Department run five main categories of rehabilitative programmes as follows:- Physical Rehabilitation, Psychological Rehabilitation, Moral Rehabilitation, Civic Rehabilitation and Social Rehabilitation: Vocational Training & Academic Programme The implementation of rehabilitative activities is not limited only within the correctional institutions but is also connected with additional external outreach programmes to assist family of inmates to encourage whole recovery and social reintegration of the inmates.
